B.C nurses settled their contract with government last week. Compounded annually, their salary increase works out to about 17 per cent over the life of a four-year contract. There is a shortage of nurses in British Columbia. B.C. teachers have asked for a salary and benefits increase of 50 per cent over three years. There is an excess of teachers and a shortage of students in the province. So hands up, class. How do you think government will respond to the teachers?
