British Columbia’s public education sector employs approximately 52,000 unionized teachers. BCPSEA is the accredited bargaining agent for the province’s 60 public boards of education. We negotiate provincially with the British Columbia Teachers’ Federation for a provincial teachers’ collective agreement. We also coordinate local bargaining between boards of education and their local teachers’ associations.
