Annual General Meeting

BCPSEA holds its Annual General Meeting in January of each year. Activities at the AGM include reports from the Board and CEO, debate of resolutions submitted by member boards, report of the audited financial statements, presentation of the association budget for the prospective fiscal year, and information sessions on current and emergent issues.

The 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BC Public School Employers’ Association is scheduled for Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel, 1180 W. Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC.

This AGM will address governance and procedural issues regarding proposed resolutions and elections to the Board of Directors (staggered cycle by region), as well as emergent labour relations and human resources issues in the K-12 public education sector. The deadline for submitting special and ordinary resolutions, and pre-nominations for elections to the Board of Directors is December 2, 2024.

A Representative Council will be held to discuss preparation for 2025 collective bargaining.

Representative Council

At the AGM, the Representative Council approves the annual budget of the association. During years when collective bargaining is scheduled, a Representative Council is held to discuss bargaining objectives.
